So in a sense, mass submission to directories, for the purpose of getting your article listed, is a total waste of time. Sure, there may be some people who will see your articles at these directories, but for the most part, and now I am speaking from experience, the traffic you will get will be negligible. Point is, if you didn't know about this news, you'd still be wasting your time on this activity.
What about pay per click? Did you hear the latest on that? Well, if you're promoting affiliate products I sure hope so. Seems Google has made some big changes there as well. To make a long story short, if you're sending your prospects to a sales page or cheesy landing page, you're going to end up paying something like $10 a click or more. Google no longer recognizes affiliate marketing, at least the way we normally do it, as a viable and legit business model. So now, you need to send people to a full blown web site in order to receive a good quality score. If you haven't been slapped yet, don't worry...it's coming.

Yet these are the same side effects that ADHD children have to cope with when prescribed these drugs. The three most popular drugs used by the college students were Ritalin , Concerta and Adderall. The prospect of our youth being permanently on mind altering psychostimulants for all their life is alarming to say the least!

Transcendental Meditation ?
Trancendental meditation (TM) has hit the ADHD headlines. Researchers at the George Washington University studied a group of middle school students who were taught how to do TM for just ten minutes twice a day. All the children had greater or lesser ADHD problems and after the experiment was over, there was a 50% reduction in ADHD symptoms and the children were able to concentrate better, had fewer behavioural problems and were much less hyperactive.. More experiments will need to be done before we send our kids to TM lessons but it is a promising development in that it could reduce the number of ADHD children on psychotics/psychostimulants.
College Students Abusing ADHD Drugs
The number of college students using ADHD drugs to power their memories and concentration has never been higher (5%) according to a study which involved three major US universities. These were Duke, Michigan and North Carolina. Of the 3,000 students interviewed, the majority were pleased with the results and not at all worried about drug dependency, insomnia or eating disorders. Yet these are the same side effects that ADHD children have to cope with when prescribed these drugs. The three most popular drugs used by the college students were Ritalin , Concerta and Adderall. There have been several recent reports and within these findings there has been one specific observation that most implant surgeons will choose to follow. It is with respect to synthetic breast implants and the texture of the silicone implant.

Natural Tissue Implants are aided by taking tissue from either the back or stomach and then moulded to suit the need. The Synthetic however is a firm silicone shell, with more and more offering the textured surface to lessen the risk of hardening, deforming and rejection.
There are several new forms of silicone implants. There are those that consider the new forms of a jelly like silicone as opposed to the original styles of the fluid silicone; often just salt-water. There has been much speculation recently about the occasional wrinkle caused by the firmer silicone implant. So the jelly like and saline implants are most preferred.

The Latest News on the Falling Pound
The U.K. economy will shrink by 3.75% in 2009 and only begin expanding again by late 2010, the European Commission said on Monday in a dark assessment of the damage that the financial crisis will cause the UK. The commission's latest forecast marks another downgrade of the U.K.'s economic forecast. The commission's previous forecast for the UK economy, released in January, said the U.K. economy would contract by 2.8% in 2009. The previous economic forecast said the U.K. economy would grow 0.2% in 2010 compared with the current assessment of 0.1%.
The U.K. unemployment rate will increase to around 10% in late 2010 and average 9.4% for 2010, the commission said. This is an increase over its January forecast of an average unemployment rate 8.1% in 2010.
The commission also predicts a "very significant deterioration" in the U.K.'s public finances, as lower tax revenue and the U.K.'s economic stimulus measures will increase its budget shortfall to around 13% of gross domestic product in financial years 2009/2010 and 2010/2011.
The decline of the finance sector and the housing market, two very important factors of the U.K.'s strong economic growth over the last ten years, will reduce the revenue of the government even further, the commission said.
The sharp decline in the pound compared to other major currencies such as the euro, didn't increase significantly U.K. exports through most of 2008, with both import and export volumes remaining flat, the commission said. But the devalued pound should help the U.K. trade balance in the future, lifting economic growth by 1% in 2009 and 0.25% in 2010.

Latest News on the Dog Food Recall
On April 24th, 2007 Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance Inc. issued a voluntary recall on several of their pet food products after receiving a half dozen reports in the same day regarding animals falling ill after consuming the food. Melamine, the same chemical that contaminated wheat gluten in hundreds of foods that have been recalled over the last month, was detected in the rice protein samples.
Since then, importer and distributor Wilbur-Ellis has issued a complete recall of all rice protein that entered the country from manufacturers Binzhou Futian Biological Technology in China.
On April 2nd, when shipment was received by Wilbur-Ellis, most of the rice protein was bagged in the usual white bags except one pink bag that was clearly marked melamine. It was thought at that time that it was a limited incident and that all infected products were recalled. However, melamine has since been discovered in all of the rice protein in that shipment and the FDA is testing all eight shipments of rice protein that has entered the US since July 2006.
Newly recalled foods include:

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) and the FDA are working jointly to discover the cause quickly and hopefully prevent any further food recalls or illness.
All shipments of rice protein and wheat gluten that are imported into North America are currently being tested by the FDA no matter where the product was manufactured or what the ingredients were intended for – pet food or human consumption.
